GLASTONBURY DAY TWO
Sat 24 Jun 2000 11:49

dotmusic have crawled from our tents, wrestled with our fuzzy minds and are now ready to bring you all he latest action direct from Glastonbury 2000.

The weather on-site at Worthy Farm, Somerset, remains fine, if cloudy, and the threat of rain continues to stalk.

Conditions are expected to remain the same today, with an equal helping of sunshine and showers. The site is in good shape, with any mud dried by yesterday's sunny intervals.

Police have reported an increase in crime at the festival, with 295 reported incidents, of which 230 were tent-related. The first day's crime figures equal the festival average for the whole of last year.

There have been 72 arrests for theft, robbery, assault and drug-related incidents. Police have also insisted that the initiative to trap tent-thieves as they commit their crimes has been 'really successful'.

Today, dotmusic have a number of interviews lined-up for your desktop delectation, plus reviews of the likes of Asian Dub Foundation, Death In Vegas, The Flaming Lips and Travis. Stay tuned.
