Sun 25 Jun 2000 13:45

The final day of Glastonbury 2000 is well underway, and the dotmusic team have raised themselves for one last push.

Dirty guitar terrorists Six By Seven are reported to have been forced to pull their 5.40pm slot in the new band tent, after a family crisis.

This morning, Avon And Somerset Constabulary rounded-up the current crime figures, announcing that 1,140 separate incidents had been reported.

In total, 898 were tent thefts - either entire tents being stolen or property taken from inside them - 105 were robberies and there were 27 reported assaults.

Police have arrested187 people and 70 have been charged for a variety of offences, ranging from criminal damage to possession of drugs with intent to supply, to assault.

Thirty-one people have been cautioned and ejected from the site and 140 cars have been impounded for illegal parking.
There have been 1,800 separate incidents reported to the medical centre, for mostly minor injuries.
