Other Stage - 14:40
Fu Manchu are proof that you can't beat a bit of mid afternoon stoner rock to blow the cobwebs away. Sometimes there is quite simply nothing better than watching four incredibly hairy men making an absolute racket. Armed with some of the biggest riffs known to man (that are possibly the filthiest things on this site) and fuelled on a diet of exotic herbs, they proceed to separate the men from the boys with the greatest of ease. Showcasing some fine formation head-banging and a penchant for Spinal Tap-esque track titles ("Evil Eye", "Over The Edge" and "Weird Beard"), their particular brand of metallic, effects drenched noise, provides not so much the perfect Glastonbury moment, instead transporting the place to Donnington Park for forty-five brutally muscular minutes. A sure-fire wake up call for the hung-over masses, they serve to remind us all that we really should listen to more Black Sabbath.
